AWS RI and Savings Plans Discount Sharing

Today, we released a feature that considers whether your AWS RIs and Savings Plans are discount sharing enabled or disabled. By default, all AWS RIs and Savings Plans are discount sharing enabled unless you have opted to disable.

Note: you will need to contact us at support@computesoftware.com to disable discount sharing as that information is not readily available from AWS.

Discounts are factored into all metrics and action items across the platform. You will find information about sharing under the Monitored Accounts and Discounts sections.

Navigate to Admin -> Monitored Accounts to see the Sharing Discounts? column. 'Yes' indicates that any RI or Savings Plans discounts purchased from the associated account are being shared with all other accounts that are enabled for sharing. 'No' indicates that any discounts purchased from the associated account are applied only to that account.

Navigate to the Discounts section and under the "EC2 RIs" and "Savings Plans" tabs, you will find the Shared? column to indicate whether each discount is being applied only to the account it was purchased from or whether it is being applied to all accounts.
